The charges stem from a Sept. 23, 2022 overdose death in the village of North Fond du Lac. The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be bromazolam, cocaine, and fentanyl toxicity. The two fentanyl deliveries are from Aug. 30, 2022 and July 5, 2022.
A sentencing date has not yet been set and the court ordered a pre-sentence investigation report.
Jackson faces a total possible sentence of 45 years of initial confinement and 25 years of extended supervision. Jackson has an extensive criminal history starting in Illinois and progressing into Wisconsin, with past prison sentences, all of which will be taken into consideration with the state’s sentencing recommendations at the sentencing hearing.
Jackson was also named as a suspect in December of 2022 in what Fond du Lac County describes as a “historic distribution” of methamphetamine and fentanyl case.
