MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) – Milwaukee prosecutors have added a homicide charge to a list of 14 other counts against a man accused of killing his girlfriend’s toddler.
27-year-old Maurice Snyder is charged with 12 counts of physical child abuse, one count of child neglect, plus obstructing an officer — in addition to first-degree intentional homicide.
3-year-old Aiden Archer died June 3rd. Authorities said he suffered a fractured skull, severe bruises, and at least 11 bite marks.
The Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office said the youngster died from blunt force trauma.
Before the homicide charge was filed, a preliminary hearing had been set for Thursday in Snyder’s case. He’s being held under a $200,000 cash bond.
Aiden’s mother, 24-year-old Megan Scott, also has a preliminary hearing set for Thursday on a felony count of failing to prevent child abuse.
