FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting this week in Fox Crossing.
Police say Denaja Butler, 29, was arrested Tuesday at a home in Oshkosh.
No formal charges have been filed yet. Butler is not expected to appear in court Wednesday, Winnebago County prosecutors said.
Butler is suspected in connection with the Monday morning shooting at an apartment complex on Honey Lou Court. While police were on their way, the victim told dispatchers she was going to the hospital. When they arrived, police confirmed a friend of the victim had taken her to a hospital and that she was being treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
No one else at the apartment was injured.
Police said the victim and the suspected shooter know each other.
Police say no further details will be released as the case remains under investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call Fox Crossing police at (920) 720-7109.
