The Milwaukee Brewers are adding two major league veterans to their spring training roster. The Brewers have signed first baseman Luke Voight and outfielder Tyler Naquin to minor league contracts with invitations to join the club for the spring. The 31 year old Voight split time with the San Diego Padres and Washington Nationals last year. He also spent four seasons with the New York Yankees and hit 20 or more homers in three of his last four seasons. Naquin spent his first five big league seasons with the Cleveland Indians before joining the Cincinnati Reds in 2021. Last year he split time with the Reds and New York Mets and brings a career .264 batting average to the Brewers.
The club held it’s first full squad workout in Maryvale on Tuesday and will open Cactus League play on Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
