GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – It’s a big week for the Green Bay Packers as the team’s annual shareholder meeting is set to begin at 11 am this morning, followed by training camp beginning on Wednesday.
Discover Green Bay’s Nick Meisner says it’s one of their biggest weeks of the year.
“we’re anticipating 90 to 100 thousand people coming in for training camp and that includes “Family Night.”
It’s an economic engine that’s felt throughout the region.
“More coming into the area, which is what we love to see. it means more people out at restaurants, it means more people shopping locally.”
Meisner says people come to training camp from all over the country and around the world.
“We have had in past training camps have had people from Canada, abroad almost every single state.”
Those who visit spend around two days on average in the area.
