ASHWAUBENON (WTAQ-WLUK) — Step inside Bay Park Square mall, in Ashwaubenon, and you’ll find at least two types of people, those who are done Christmas shopping and those who will tell you, there’s still time.
“For me, I Christmas shop early. He’s a procrastinator,” said Erin Hoefler.
“Yeah, I wait,” said Tim Lyon.
“He shops late because he wants to tell everyone what he got them for Christmas,” Hoefler said.
“Yeah, just finishing up right now, maybe two more items,” Lyon added.
Not everyone at the mall was there to shop. A few Salvation Army bell ringers, asked people to give.
“There you go,” a man said as he put money into the red kettle.
In another part of the mall parents introduced their children to Santa.
As the camera flashed, some parents also held up their cellphones and ask their children for a big smile.
After the photo, Santa gave a little girl a hat and candy cane.
As more shoppers headed through the mall, we found a grandma picking up a gift.
“I’m getting my granddaughter something and I think I’ll find it right here at Hallmark.” said Sharri Hintz.
When asked if she enjoys Christmas shopping, Hintz said, “I’m glad it’s just about done,.”
With Christmas a few days away, shoppers also shared what they enjoy most about the holiday.
“I’d just have to say the holiday spirit,” Lyon said.
“The decorations,” Hintz said.
“Just family, getting things for people and the looks on their faces when they open up the present and they got what they really wanted,” Hoefler said.
