State champions were crowned Saturday in Milwaukee at the WIAA Girls State Soccer Tournament. Two Green Bay Schools are coming home with silver trophies. In Division 2, Green Bay Southwest lost to Oregon in the title game 3-0. The Trojans began their state tournament run with a sub-.500 record but made it all the way to the championship game. They played a scoreless first half but Oregon, which capped a 23-0-1 season, scored three times in the second half for the title. In Division 3, Green Bay Notre Dame was denied again in the championship game, falling to powerhouse Waukesha Catholic Memorial 2-1. Memorial has reeled off four straight state championships. In Division 1, D.C. Everest defeated Kettle Moraine 1-0 and in Division 4, LaCrosse Aquinas outdueled Lake Country Lutheran 3-2 in a shootout after playing to a scoreless draw in regulation and overtime.
