(WNFL) – All three of Wisconsin’s PGA golfers are playing in the Canadian Open that began this morning in Oakville Ontario. Jerry Kelly of Madison was at even par going into the final two holes of his first round. That tied him for 53rd among the 78 players in the morning group. Steve Stricker of Madison and Pewaukee native Mark Wilson had tee times scheduled around the noon hour. All three players got an extra week to rest, after they didn’t play in the British Open. Mequon amateur Jordan Niebrugge, who tied for sixth at Saint Andrews, is getting ready to return to Oklahoma State for his senior year. On the senior tour, no Wisconsin players went to England for the Senior British Open which began this morning.
