I’ve worked in just about every facet of the media, broadcasting and communications world over the past 30 plus years. This has included stints in radio, television, public relations, crisis communications and more. But radio has always been my favorite!
My first on-air experience happened when I was 13 years old and I’ve been involved in radio ever since. Although I started out in music radio, I moved into talk in my mid 20s, working production for a precursor to Fox News called NET Television. From there, I went on to work with some of the biggest syndicated talk radio shows of their time. I’ve guest hosted several local and nationally syndicated shows, and I also hosted my own syndicated talk show in the mid-2000s.
Live music and movies are two of my favorite things and I’ve been blessed to incorporate both into my career. The Beach Boys have long been my favorite. I first met them on their 30th anniversary tour in 1992 and have worked with them on a few occasions since. I also got to know and even once sing with The Drifters.
On the film front, I’ve helped market and promote several culture-changing films, including Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ; The Nativity Story, Bella and The Stoning of Soraya M. I’ve produced and directed several documentaries and biographical videos, including the award-winning pop-culture documentary, The Gates of Hell… (2001) and Dead in the Water (2007), which debuted on international television.
If that doesn’t sound busy enough, I’ve also worked and consulted across several industries including construction, financial services and social media marketing.
But my proudest achievement is my family—being a husband to my wife, Kristin, and a father to our five children. There is no greater honor, responsibility or gift.
