WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Charges have been filed against an additional three people in an on-going Waupaca County drug investigation.
Last month, Aaron Van Dyke, 31, and April Hardegen, 30, both of New London, were charged in the May 30 heroin/fentanyl overdose death of Jordan May.
According to the criminal complaint, Van Dyke and Hardegen would travel to Milwaukee and bring drugs back to Waupaca County.
On June 24, detectives searched a Milwaukee residence where 20-year-old Demargieon P. Hillard-Carter was taken into custody. During the search, investigators say they found more than 19.3 grams of crack cocaine, 1.6 grams of fentanyl, 15.8 grams of a brown/tan powdery substance, 368 grams of THC, a Sig Sauer pistol, a SKS Norinco semi-automatic rifle, numerous controlled substance packaging materials and $9,636 in cash.
Hillard-Carter is facing a first-degree reckless homicide charge and remains in custody at the Waupaca County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
New London resident, Patrick Rhoden, 36, and Jessica Bell, 39, of Waupaca, are also charged.
