OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – Schools and universities around the area continue to iron out their plans for returning to campus this fall.
“We’re going to have face to face classes for sure, but they are going to be students who cannot be in those face to face classes if they’re compromised in terms of their immunity or if they are suspected of being ill,” says UW-Oshkosh Political Science Professor Dr. David Siemers.
Teachers will have to deliver content through multiple modalities from in-person to online classes, to doing both simultaneously. The coordination and technological changes needed to be able to provide that shift may be challenging for some.
“We have to deliver the class both face to face and online simultaneously. So it’s going to be a heavy lift for us,” Siemers tells WTAQ News, “We’re working on that. We’ve got a lot of people in meetings trying to figure that out. We’re just doing everything we can to have a real college experience, and still be safe.”
The fall semester at UW-Oshkosh starts September 9th under the Titans Return Plan.
