(LEARFIELD) – The Texas Rangers avoided being swept by the Milwaukee Brewers in a weekend series with a come-from-behind 7-4 win Sunday at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
The Brewers jumped on top with two runs in the first, but the Rangers then scored seven times.
Miliwaukee starting pitcher Dustin May took the loss, pitching in a game four day after he was hit in the back by a line drive against the Mets.
May who allowed 4 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks over 4 1/3 innings talked about the loss.
He also talked about his performance.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that he hasn’t lost confidence in May.
Murphy added that May isn’t quite 100% comfortable yet.
After May was pulled, Grant Anderson came in and allowed 3 runs over 2 innings.
Gary Sanchez belted his 200th career home run in the defeat and Joey Ortiz had a pair of hits,
Kyle Harrison takes the mound tonight in Chicago to start a four-game set in Wrigley Field against the Cubs.
Harrison is 10-3 with a 2.79 ERA.
The Cubs will counter with Clay Holmes. He is 5-6 with a 2.26 ERA.
