(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) – Monday afternoon, the Horizon League announced the 2026 Under Armour #HLMSOC Preseason Poll. Green Bay was selected by the league’s coaches to finish second behind Cleveland State. Green Bay finished with 95 points while Cleveland State finished with 111. NIU and Purdue Fort Wayne rounded out the top four with 92 and 89 points, respectively.

Green Bay finished third in the 2025 Horizon League standings, just two points behind the Horizon League Champions, Cleveland State. The Phoenix then fell in the Horizon League semifinal to No. 2 Purdue Fort Wayne in penalty kicks, 4-3.
Green Bay enters the third season of the John O’Reilly era. Since O’Reilly took over prior to the 2024 season, the Phoenix hasn’t finished outside the top four in the league standings.
Green Bay kicks off its regular season schedule at home on Thursday, August 20 against Loyola Chicago at 6 p.m.
