(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored first, but the lead didn’t last long.
Detroit used strong pitching and a pair of home runs to claim a 5-2 victory Wednesday.
That evened the series at a game apiece.
DL Hall started and pitched 2 scoreless innings for Milwaukee.
Chad Patrick took the loss in relief after giving up four runs in four innings with Carlos Rodriguez giving up the final Tigers’ run.
The Brewers scored their runs on run-scoring singles by William Contreras in the third and Jake Bauers in the eighth innings.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy didn’t have much to say after the game.
First, he talked about Hall.
Murphy said that he was disappointed all around with the pitching and scoring just 2 runs on 6 hits.
Milwaukee hasn’t hit a homer since Saturday.
Rookie Brandon Sproat starts today’s rubber game.
