MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Sturgeon Bay man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly driving drunk.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. on State Highway 180 at Twin Island Park in Marinette County.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, 911 dispatchers received a call from a concerned citizen reporting that a vehicle “was all over the road and stopped in traffic twice.” After observing multiple lane deviations while the vehicle was traveling northbound on STH 180, a trooper conducted a traffic stop.
Officials say the trooper noticed the driver was displaying signs of impairment and also handed the trooper drug paraphernalia. Standardized field sobriety testing was attempted, but the driver was unable to complete the tests.
Richard Husbeck, 60, of Sturgeon Bay, was arrested for operating while under the influence, fifth offense; possession of THC, second offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
An evidentiary blood sample was collected from Husbeck and he was then transported to the Marinette County Jail.
