MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Eighteen traffic stops led to drugs being taken off the streets in Manitowoc County.
Sheriff’s officials say several agencies took part in the one-day effort last Wednesday.
“This interdiction effort demonstrates the strong collaboration between local and state law enforcement agencies,” Sheriff Dan Hartwig said in a news release. “Our shared commitment to proactive drug enforcement continues to improve public safety and protect the residents of Manitowoc County.”
The final numbers are in, with authorities seizing 2.32 grams of heroin; 185.32 grams of meth; 34.28 grams of cocaine; 71.98 grams of THC, the active component of marijuana; 24.64 grams of psychedelic mushrooms; four guns; one knife; 111 rounds of ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
Information learned during the stops also led to a bust in Two Rivers.
