WRIGHTSTOWN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The interim leader of Wrightstown schools is stepping down this weekend.
The district announced that Ronald Saari would be resigning, effective on Saturday.
The school board had talked to Saari about serving as administrator for the upcoming school year. However, according to a joint statement from Saari and district officials:
Following a recent change in School Board membership, the Board has decided to pursue a new direction in District leadership. With mutual respect and a shared commitment to the best interests of students and the community, Mr. Saari and the Board, in good faith, have agreed to a professional transition in leadership. The District and Mr. Saari express their gratitude to the community and staff for their patience as they considered how to proceed in the best interests of students and the community.
Saari was named interim district administrator in January after the previous superintendent, Andy Space, retired early.
