WAUKECHON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – No one was injured in a crash near Waukechon, in Shawano County, after a car ended up in the median and became fully engulfed in flames Friday night.
The crash happened just before 10 p.m. when a driver heading east on Highway 29 rear ended a pickup truck. The car, driven by a 21-year-old man, ended up in the median and started on fire. The driver was not injured but the passenger had non-life-threatening injuries.
Five people were in the pickup truck, all of whom were wearing seatbelts, according to a release from Sheriff George Lenzer of the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office none of those people were reported injured.
Speed and alcohol were a contributing factor in the crash.
