FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman was convicted Monday of sex trafficking her 12-year-old daughter.
Elia Antonio, 34, entered guilty pleas of trafficking a child, failing to protect a child and two misdemeanor bail jumping counts. Sentencing is Aug. 21, where she could be sentenced to more than 52 years in prison system.
According to the criminal complaints, Juan Rocha-Mejia allegedly paid Antonio $250 for sexual access to her daughter last May.
Rocha-Mejia allegedly assaulted the girl in the back of a van in Oakfield. The girl, according to authorities, fought off her attacker, who had bound and blindfolded her, biting him before running away to a nearby home, where a good Samaritan called 911.
Rocha-Mejia is scheduled to stand trial June 23, although a plea hearing is also set for June 10.
