(WTAQ-WLUK) — Federal funding will help improve road safety on two Menominee County highways.
Money from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will resurface nearly 40 miles on Highway 47 and Highway 55, replace about 102 culverts, repair guardrails, and widen shoulders.
Other road improvements include centerline rumble strips, shoulder widening, and six-inch pavement marking, as well as the relocation of a pull-off area on Highway 55, one mile south of Markton.
The project will also add multimodal improvements in the Neopit area, including lighting, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and sidewalk replacements.
