GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A car crashed into a house on West Capitol Drive when it lost control attempting to flee after a traffic stop.
Officers attempted a traffic stop on the in the 4500 block of West Capitol Drive car when it sped away. They did not try to pursue the car after it took off.
As the car drove quickly eastbound, the driver lost control and crashed into the front of a home, damaging the garage. Police have not determined what caused the driver to lose control.
Police say other homes in the area were damaged by debris kicked up by the crash.
No one in the home was injured.
Two people took off on foot after the crash, but were taken into custody a few block south of the crash site. After being taken into custody, the individuals were taken to the hospital to treat their injuries from the crash.
Grand Chute Police say the investigation is ongoing and that there is no threat to the community.
