MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — Two questions that would have changed how the state of Wisconsin spends federal dollars were defeated by voters on Tuesday night.
Voters rejected questions 1 and 2 by 57% and 58% respectively.
The questions were added to the ballot by the Republican controlled state legislature. They would have moved the power to spend those dollars to the Republican-controlled legislature, instead of Democratic Governor Tony Evers.
Republicans added the question to the ballot over concerns about the spending of federal COVID-19 relief dollars in 2020.
