GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Demarcus Hicks faces reckless homicide charges for allegedly providing the fentanyl that killed a woman in May.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a Basten Street residence on May 25 for the death of a 25-year-old woman.
An autopsy determined she died of the “Toxic effects of fentanyl and para-Fluorofentanyl,” the complaint states.
Cell phone records connected Hicks to the victim and a drug transaction.
Eventually, Hicks “admitted to selling heroin over the past year, citing financial pressures such as rent payments as his motivation,” the complaint states – including a drug sale to the victim in this case.
