NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The track and field outside Neenah High School was filled with students of all abilities Wednesday.
The district held its second annual Neenah Applauding Student Abilities (NASA) Day.
More than 100 students at all levels of adaptive physical education or other student disabilities participated.
Activities include sports, track, obstacle courses, yard games, a dunk tank, squirt gun activities, face paint and more.
Brenna Pickett, a sophomore at Neenah High School, says she’s formed true friendships with the students and NASA day is a great opportunity to get everyone together.
“I just really love connecting with all these students here so I’ve known a lot of them since middle school and it’s fun to just see them grow and I’m really connected through the students here,” she said.
Owain Elliott, a sophomore, says he really loved the football catch and the dunk tank.
