OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A new mural is on display at an elementary school in Oshkosh.
Read Elementary School is now home to a brand new mural; where finishing touches are happening on Monday.
The mural is part of a larger project revitalizing the playground and spaces around the elementary school.
The new mural was created by the artist Neo Medina and the students of the school this month.
Officials at the school say the artwork will elevate the vibrant and diverse identities of the students in the school and help to build a positive and proud school community.
There’s a party on Tuesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. to celebrate the mural; free tacos will be provided.
