GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Spring enrollment data for UW-Green Bay shows it’s the “fastest growing university in the state.”
UW-Green Bay says spring enrollment saw a 5.2% year-over-year increase with the college’s highest-ever spring student headcount of 8,025.
This comes as statewide and national four-year college enrollments have sharply declined in recent years.
UW-Green Bay released the following spring enrollment statistics:
- Hispanic/Latino students 13.9% increase
- Students of color 15.5% increase
- International students 33% increase
- Non-traditional students 5.7% increase
- First generation students 4.9% increase
- Graduate students 8.3% increase
- High school students 23.6% increase
UW-Green Bay says it is seeing significant growth in the Rising Phoenix program, nursing, psychology, writing and applied arts, and sociology and anthropology.
“UW-Green Bay’s extraordinary growth speaks directly to what it means to be a regional comprehensive, which is building up our region and communities from within,” said UW-Green Bay Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Kate Burns. “Core to our access mission is ensuring that anyone who chooses to pursue further learning finds opportunity at UW-Green Bay. We are deepening the ways we support students throughout their journey with embedded academic and career advising so students can continue to rise post-graduation.”
