GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Green Bay Area Public School District board member has resigned.
On Saturday, Board of Education Trustee Laura Laitinen-Warren announced her resignation.
Dr. Laitinen-Warren was appointed to the Board of Education in March 2021 and was elected to a three-year term in April 2022.
“We wish Laura well in her future endeavors and thank her for her time and dedication to the staff, students and families in Green Bay Area Public Schools” stated Board President Laura McCoy. “Laura has been a strong advocate on behalf of all children and we know that she will continue to serve to effect positive change within our community.”
At the March 4th Special Board Meeting the Board of Education will review the timeline and process to appoint a new board member through April 2025, when the seat will be filled through a spring election.
