TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Two Rivers Police Dept. took to social media Saturday to warn of a fake video circulating related to the disappearance of Elijah Vue, 3.
Vue has been missing since Tuesday, and is the subject of an Amber Alert.
“Elijah has not been located. We are aware of at least one fake video circulating social media that shows the recovery of a minor by officers. Again, beware of scams seeking your money and personal information, but also those now looking to take advantage of this unfortunate incident. The Two Rivers Police Department is your source for facts regarding this case, and we will continue to update the community as we are able and as timely as we can,” wrote Chief Ben Meinnert.
Meanwhile, the search continues.
The chief also addressed donations:
“Continue to contact our police department’s business number (920)793-1191 with any food donations requests. We have accounts set up to accept monetary donations beginning during normal business hours on Monday for those wishing to donate to the search efforts or towards a reward. More information on how to donate to those efforts will be given on Monday,” he said.
Anyone with information should call the tipline at 844-267-6648 or submit information via the department’s Crime Stoppers app P3 with any information you think could be helpful.
Vue was last seen by his adult caregiver at 8 a.m. Tuesday at his home in the 3900 block of Mishicot Road. He was reported missing to the Two Rivers Police Department and an Amber Alert was activated Tuesday afternoon.
