(WTAQ-WLUK) — A Lawrence University professor struck Grammy gold.
Estelí Gomez and her vocal ensemble, Roomful of Teeth, was nominated and won in the Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance category for the album “Rough Magic” at the 66th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday.
The ensemble was also nominated in the Best Contemporary Classical Composition category for the recording of “Psychedelics.”
Roomful of Teeth previously won a Grammy in 2014 for its self-titled debut album, and was nominated in two other categories that year. The ensemble was also nominated for a Grammy in 2016.
