APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Appleton Police Department responded to a call about a large physical disturbance occurring in the 500 block of West College Avenue, around 2 a.m. Nov. 25.
As police were arriving, a single gunshot was fired by one of the involved individuals.
Appleton Police searched the area but did not find the shooter among the fleeing crowd. There was one victim located. Officers immediately administered medical aid and this person was later taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A single shell casing along with a few other items were collected from the scene. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
