NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An arrest that used SWAT teams and led to precautionary school lockdowns took place without incident, Neenah police say.
The Neenah Police Department and Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office SWAT teams helped the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office serve a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Washington Avenue around 12:15 p.m.
In the course of the search, a male — who police were familiar with — was arrested.
During the search, nearby schools were put on lockdown and additional law enforcement was assigned to the schools.
Police say the investigation by Outagamie County officials is ongoing. They did not release details of the nature of the investigation.
Neenah police say there was no threat to the public.
