KIEL, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A business expansion in Kiel is moving along.
Amerequip is adding 32,000 square feet to its existing manufacturing facility.
Officials gave a tour on the project’s progression Monday.
The expansion will provide additional assembly space for new business as well as additional shipping and receiving operations.
It will also allow the company to add 30 new employees, brining its workforce to 380 at the plant.
President and CEO, Mike Vander Zanden, says the expansion is awesome.
“Really when we set out back in 2011 to become an employer of choice and become a significant employer in the community, to be able to love, serve and care for more families and team members, this is that next step that we’ve been wanting and looking forward to so very excited,” he said.
Construction is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
Amerequip is a designer and manufacturer of custom equipment for the commercial lawn, landscape, agricultural, construction, waste management and industrial markets. They work with companies like John Deere, Ariens, Oshkosh Corporation and Caterpillar.
