STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Work began Wednesday to transform an empty Sturgeon Bay building into an entertainment hub.
Crews held a groundbreaking ceremony to commence the start of the 21,000 square-foot remodel of the old ‘Pamida’ Building at 1023 Egg Harbor Rd.
It will become the new Sturgeon Bay Activity/Event Center, featuring indoor golf, axe throwing, a bar and restaurant.
“We know there’s a lot of activity in Door County. It continues to grow, it’s been a wonderful place to raise our families, and we’d ideally like to keep our kids in the area,” said owner and operator Tammy Estes. “So to offer more to kids and young adults — it’s a bonus.”
