FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Fire destroyed an apartment building in Fond du Lac Sunday morning.
Around 100 firefighters from multiple area departments got the fire under control in about 45 minutes after arriving at the scene.
A man who jumped from a second story window of the eight-unit building to escape the blaze wasn’t hurt, but a firefighter who suffered from heat exhaustion was treated on the scene.
The Red Cross says 16 people they’re assisting were impacted by the fire, with as many as 12 people displaced by it.
