GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An early morning stabbing in Green Bay has left a man hospitalized and another man in custody.
Officers responded to St. John’s Homeless Shelter just before 4 a.m. Monday for a report of a stabbing.
Police learned a 45-year-old Green Bay man had been stabbed near the intersection of S. Madison and Crooks streets by another man who ran away.
Within a half hour, police arrested the suspect, a 23-year-old Green Bay man, in the 300 block of N. Van Buren Street.
Witnesses told authorities the stabbing had followed an argument that occurred earlier at St. John’s Park.
The victim is expected to survive but remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
