FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ) – A pair of thefts from unlocked vehicles last week have Fox Crossing police reminding drivers to lock their doors.
One theft was reported Aug. 22. The victim went to the police department’s lobby to report his wallet had been stolen from his unlocked vehicle on Fieldcrest Drive.
Then, overnight Thursday into Friday, a victim reported having items stolen from three unlocked cars on Teakwood Street.
Police shared these reminders for preventing these crimes of opportunity:
Remove valuables from your vehicles
Lock your car doors
Close the garage door(s)
Close & lock all exterior doors
Turn on exterior lights
Ensure and home security devices are functioning properly
