The Green Bay Phoenix were one and done in the Horizon League conference tournament. The 11th seeded Phoenix lost at number 6 seed Detroit Mercy Tuesday night 79-62. GB got off to a shaky start at Callihan Hall falling behind 10-0 before battling back but the Titans put on another run and built the lead to 43-31 by halftime. The Phoenix got as close as 61-53 with just under nine minutes to play but they never got a handle on All-Horizon League guard Antoine Davis who finished with a game high 38 points on 15 of 24 shooting including 6 of 10 from beyond the three point line. Freshman Kamari McGee capped a strong first year with 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead GB. Emmanuel Ansong added 11. Head Coach Will Ryan’s second season on the bench ended with a 5-25 record.
