HOWARD, WI (WTAQ) – Add this to the 2021 shortage list. Snowblowers are in short supply, and may sell out as the winter begins to settle-in.
Wes Kimps, manager of Kimps Ace Hardware in Howard, says people should get in early and buy what they can.
“I do believe that we will run out at some point. Most likely in mid-season.”
Kimps says snow thrower manufacturers have the same problem with supply chain issues. That means what is already in stores could be it for a while.
“Those will most likely will be gone and you’ll be stuck with whatever inventory is left.”
Kimps says consumers are already in the stores and not waiting for the snow to fly.
“I think the consumer is being a little more pro-active and smarter. We’ve seen a lot of sales for snowblowers in the middle of summer.”
And the people who made their purchase over the summer and wound up paying a couple hundred dollars less for a snowblowers.
