DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) — An arrest has been made in the assault on a woman earlier this month on the East River Trail in De Pere.
Police there say that with the help of the Wisconsin Crime Lab, a suspect was identified and brought into custody.
Charges are being referred to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office.
The name of the suspect is being withheld pending a formal charging decision.
The woman was attacked on Tuesday, October 5th at just before 11:30 while walking on the trail with her infant child by someone she did not know.
The nature of the assault hasn’t been released.
