CALUMET COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — We’re learning more about human remains hour at High Cliff State Park this week.
Calumet County sheriff’s officials say the remains belong belong to a male who was “post-adolescent.”
It also appeared the remains had been there for an extended period of time, investigators said in an update of a Facebook post.
Any connection to Native American burial sites was ruled out.
Meanwhile, sheriff’s officials said they had identified the hikers who found the remains, and the hikers are cooperating with investigators.
