SUAMICO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Students at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College put building skills to the test.
They helped with construction of about 60 campsites at a new campground in the Brown County Reforestation Camp. This new campground would join two others that Brown County Parks owns.
Brown County Parks Department Director Matt Kriese says this has been a long time coming.
“This campground has been in the works and began discussions in 1983. Campgrounds are not in this area of Brown County, and we have a high demand for campsites, and we have for many, many years.”
Brown County hopes to have the campground completed by next spring or summer.
