LUXEMBURG, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Luxemburg-Casco schools are returning to COVID-19 protocols.
In a unanimous decision Monday night, the district’s board of education voted to reinstate and follow quarantine protocols set forth by Kewaunee County. The board voted last week to make masking optional, and no longer require quarantines or social distancing.
In addition to reinstating protocols, the board voted on the following:
Students can take their mask off when outside for recess.
Athletes will follow WIAA and conference COVID-19 guidelines to be eligible to compete.
Masks are optional starting June 4, including summer school.
There are no ramifications for students who learned virtually and are returning to in-person learning.
The new policies take effect this morning.
