FREEDOM, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – For a second straight year, Bellin College held a unique commencement ceremony for its graduates.
It was at the Field of Scenes Drive-In Theatre in Freedom on Saturday.
153 students and their families drove onto the site to listen to speeches on the radio.
Unlike last year, the graduates were able to get out of their cars to have a procession.
Graduate Lauren Harvey tells FOX 11, the unique ceremony fits…
“Like we’ve got a puppy out here, we’ve got drones in the sky, that is not something you can do at the Weidner Center where we normally have it. I think it’s special, unique, which fits the world we live in today.”
Bellin officials say the healthcare graduates are in high demand. It’s not just because there’s a pandemic, but also because a large part of the workforce is ready to retire.
