GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Court records indicate that the man who shot and killed two people at the Duck Creek Restaurant in the Oneida Casino Complex in Ashwaubenon on Friday had a restraining order filed against him by another employee who accused him of violent threats.
Bruce Pofahl, 62, had been accused in the restraining order of harassing his supervisor at the restaurant, sending her threats including “time’s up”, pictures of her home, and promises to ruin her sister’s wedding. Pofahl had been allowed to retain his firearms in spite of the restraining order, with the court writing that there was “not clear and convincing evidence that [Pofahl] would use a firearm to cause physical harm to another or endanger public safety”
Killed were 35-year-old Jacob Bartel and 32-year-old Ian Simpson. The third victim, 28-year-old Daniel Mulligan is stable but critical at a Milwaukee hospital.
Pofahl was shot and killed by Green Bay police officers in a parking garage outside the complex.
