GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A mother and son from Keshena have been indicted for a shooting on the Menominee reservation.
Federal prosecutors have charged Menom L. Powless-Brown, 19, with assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and assault with intent to murder.
His mother, Mary Powless, 42, is charged with aiding and abetting assault with a dangerous weapon.
Prosecutors say on March 13, Powless-Brown shot two people with a handgun. One of the two was seriously hurt.
If convicted, Powless-Brown faces 10 years to life in prison and Powless faces up to 10 years in prison.
