STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The marquee is back at Sturgeon Bay’s venerable Third Avenue Playhouse.
The building has been undergoing a larger renovation project, started last year.
The sign was taken to be restored for several months and is now being re-installed. Its electric wiring was restored, along with getting new LED bulbs and restoration of its lettering and stars.
“In Sturgeon Bay, in particular, it’s sort-of an iconic fixture on Third Avenue,” Third Avenue Playhouse Managing Director Amy Frank said. “It’s what people recognize and what they’re familiar with, and it has a historical component to it as well.”
Re-installing the marquee is expected to take about two weeks.
