GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – An early morning fire destroyed 34 units of a storage facility on Green Bay’s west side.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to Lok-Safe Storage, 1610 Stiles Rd., just before 1:45 a.m. When crews arrived, they found fire and smoke coming from one of the buildings. Firefighters were able to limit damage to one of the buildings.
Anyone who has a garage in Building D is asked to avoid the area for the next 24 hours. Those who are renting garages can call (920) 497-1755 for more information.
Damage was estimated at $150,000, plus the value of items inside the units.
The fire’s cause is still being investigated. No one was injured.
