GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay Police say the stabbings that killed a 70-year-old man and injured a woman on South Broadway Monday night appear to be random.
“It looks like a very random act,” Police Captain Ben Allen said. “Certainly the incidents trailed one behind the other, but each were committed by the same individual.”
A 22-year-old man, who has yet to be identified, allegedly stabbed the woman, a bartender, at the bar where she worked before running his car into another bar and then fatally stabbing a man who had stopped his car at a railroad crossing.
Jeff Hunter owns RumRunners, the bar the man crashed into. He called it a tragedy.
“We wanted to let people know we aren’t giving up,” he said Wednesday. “We’re still open, we’re still continuing to do our best to be here.”
A GoFundMe has been set up for the bartender who was stabbed. You can find it here.
