ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Santa Claus will still visit Bay Park Square to take Christmas wish lists this year, but the tradition of sitting on his lap won’t continue during the coronavirus pandemic.
Simon, the company that owns the mall, says socially distanced visits with Santa will begin November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving. Reservations are required. Santa and his helpers will be wearing masks the entire time.
Cherry Hill Programs, the company that provides Santas for Simon malls, has a list of COVID-19 procedures. Those includes face coverings for all guests, physical distancing or barriers at all times and increased sanitation.
In addition, Santa and his helpers will also undergo temperature checks before starting their shifts and are asked to stay home if they feel sick.
