APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The Appleton Police Department is looking for ways to continue to improve their services, and they’re hoping to receive as much input from the public as they can get.
About 2,000 Community Surveys were sent out by the Appleton Police Department about a month ago. Responses are starting to filter in, they still want to hear more from the community.
“We want to hear from everyone,” said Officer Meghan Cash. “If you did receive a survey, send that in to us. It’s important information for us and we’re hoping to be able to share those results with the community soon.”
The surveys are being hand-inputted because they gave people the opportunity to write comments in response to the questions. The department can only process so many of those kinds of surveys in a reasonable amount of time, but they still encourage anyone who wants to voice an opinion to share their ideas.
“We’re seeing in peoples own words how they feel about us, how they feel about the services we provide to the community. It’s awesome to get that feedback,” Cash told WTAQ News. “Obviously, we wouldn’t be able to process every single person that lives within our community, but we do care about their opinion.”
A full list of the questions on the survey can be found here. But Cash says that’s not an exhaustive list of topics they want to hear about.
“Sometimes we don’t ask the right questions, so we want to make sure that if there’s something that somebody wants to ask us – ask us – so that we can continue to improve on the services that we provide,” Cash said. “If you got a survey, definitely return that survey. If you didn’t, get in touch with us on any of our social media platforms or email us, call us, send us a letter – whatever you feel comfortable doing. ”
